Marquis White serves as a Small Business Liaison Officer at BAE Systems, Inc., where he is responsible for enhancing small business program participation.  His goal is to help build a resilient supply chain that embraces innovation, responds effectively to mission needs, and contributes to the growth of the industrial base of one of the most geographically diverse international defense companies.

Before joining BAE Systems, Inc., Marquis operated his own small business in medical supplies distribution for several years.  At its peak, his company employed up to 27 staff members and managed a climate-controlled automated warehouse spanning 7,000 square feet.  In 2020, they successfully handled over 15,000 individual line items.  As the founder and owner, he oversaw all aspects of the business, including administration, sales, finance, inventory, distribution, project management, and equipment.  During the global pandemic, he had to find creative solutions to maintain day-to-day operations.

Prior to becoming a small business owner, Marquis served in the United States Marine Corps for 10.5 years as an aviation logistics manager, taking on various tactical and strategic leadership roles while deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), as well as during active duty.

Originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, Marquis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from San Diego State University.  He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics with a concentration in Supply Chain Analytics at the University of Colorado Boulder.  In 2023, he earned certification as a Supplier Diversity Professional from the American Supplier Diversity Program (ASDP).  In his free time, he enjoys traveling, dining out with his wife, and spending time with their pets.
